Awkward Thoughts

☺☻☺ Site Version 2.0!!!!!! A look back and to the future! ☻☺☻

Welcome All To AwkwardPwners.com version 2.0!!! It’s been 7 months and we’re only getting better! To set this in context, let me tell you a little story…

On January 10, 2011, CaponeTone, fresh out of school, brought back a small gaming site that he made in his youth with the help of his friend The RTV. While I, The RTV, tried to balance school, laziness, and site responsibilities, CaponeTone barreled through video walkthrough after walkthrough. The RTV on the other hand slowly made it thru some walkthroughs, but also made slight improvements to the site over time and advising in the change in design, making it easier for us to provide you with a better awkwardpwner experience. In less than a few months, Site Version 1.0 was official! The design became more our own and less a premade template. Advertising and Google Site Search was added and an external blog was started. On the back end, the Front Page News Feed was improved providing us a much easier way to update the site. Soon we expanded to social networks like facebook and twitter and even a group on Roosterteeth.com (Red vs. Blue and Achievement Hunter). The youtube page began to slowly grow. Soon The RTV graduated and both CaponeTone and The RTV walked in the graduation Ceremony receiving their degrees in Computer Science! The RTV soon went on vacation to handle some family business and Caponetone slowed down (but didn’t stop) to take a breather. Soon The RTV got his first job and Caponetone followed (Your welcome haha). CaponeTone and The RTV branched out into new series ideas and covering the 3DS launch and E3 and that brings us to now…

We’ve adjusted to the work schedule and the loonnng ass commute and we’re back going stronger than ever. I’ve made a real push in the last week and made some significant improvements on the site both on the back end and some on the design. On the back end, i’ve completely moved the news feed and blog into one wordpress account and integrated them into the site. It may look the same as before, but thats the special part. Instead of creating a WordPress theme and change the site, I did not use their theme and integrated some of it’s styling into our css and managed to bring the WordPress post styles into AwkwardPwners.com. This allows us to finally integrate the blog into the site, making it the one stop shop for all your awkwardpwner needs! Twitter feed and paypal donation button (cough cough) have been added to the site also. The pages are better categorized making it easier for you to browse our b-e-a-utiful site. With that being said, this isn’t the end of it. CaponeTone and I, The RTV, will continue to improve the site and our walkthroughs.

Hate to plug it, but server space and domain names are not cheap and we would like to continue this for as long as we can. That being said we would appreciate any donation! $20, $5, and even a dollar would be amazing! But most of all what we really want is your continued support through the site. VISIT THE SITE!!!! That is our number one goal and that is what we really are asking of you.

Most of all, we appreciate everyone who visits the site, likes us on facebook and on twitter, the one guy on roosterteeth, and all those who follow us on youtube, but especially everyone who has seen a video!

We Love You Peoples!

☺☻☺ Well Done Tell Tale. Back to the Future Has a Fun Video Game! ☻☺☻

If you haven’t heard Tell Tale games, the creators of the Monkey Island series, have created a back to the future game for PC and PS3. The game is just point and click but has a good story similar to the back to the future movies which gives it a very nostalgic feel if you group on the movies or are a hardcore fan of them. Its divided into 5 chapters in which one chapter is released each month. This game is simple but will engage any kind of gamer. Hardcore, Casual or even non-gamer who are hardcore fans of the back to the future trilogy. If you haven’t played it yet then check it out. It costs 25 bucks overall which is roughly 5 dollars per chapter.

☺☻☺ Resident Evil 2 Needs to be Remade! ☻☺☻

Resident Evil 2 is arguably the best game in the entire Resident Evil franchise. It was released for the Sony Playstation, Nintendo 64, PC, Sega Dreamcast, and Nintendo Gamecube. The original Resident Evil was remade and got a massive updates to the game’s graphics on the Nintendo Gamecube but Resident Evil 2 and 3 didn’t receive any upgrades, just a port only. Resident Evil 2 was the perfect blend of action and thought provoking puzzles. The game is fantastic for doing speed runs which gives it a great replayability factor. A remake is still highly rumored but has yet to happen. In my opinion, Capcom would make some serious money if they were to do it.

☺☻☺ Poor Sonic ☻☺☻

How could Sega let their legendary game icon sink this far. Don’t get me wrong Sonic 4 was good and Sonic Colours is a step in the right direction for 3D games but what was once the number 1 rival to Super Mario and the whole Nintendo corporation is now almost a laughingstock in the gaming industry because its lack of ability to make any decent 3D games. (excluding Sonic Adventure 1 and 2 of course). Sonic’s downfall started after the unmemorable Sega Saturn started hitting gaming shelves and hasn’t been as popular ever since. Sonic Team, will you ever get your head out of your asses and please make a 3D Sonic game that plays as well as Sonic Adventure 2 did. Thats all I ask for!
